Madrid, 26th of September 2005. Satec has unveiled the features of the next DataMovil version. DataMovil is a market leader platform for the development of transactional applications in PDAs. This new version enhances the usability and flexibility of the product. The capacities to integrate and synchronize local and remote data are self-contained in the product which greatly facilitates the integration with corporate databases. These new features are the result of the experience gained in the deployemnt of systems for field technical service and mobile sales forces.

DataMovil will incorporate a new XML parser with support of attributes in the model and full compliance with XPath 1.0. On the other hand, more XForms actions and functions are added, including some XForms 1.1 features. Some declarative events are introduced for the first time in DataMovil, which places the product on the track of full standard compliance.

All these new features will assure the leading position of DataMovil as the development and deployment platform for enterprise mobile transactional applications.

The new version was announced to be in the market for December 2005.

• Addition of actions: reset, close (XForms 1.1), duplicate (XForms 1.1), destroy (XForms 1.1)

• Auromatic synchronization of external resources with the server including expiration time features.
