Madrid, 4th of May of 2008. Satec has made available DataMovil 3.0.1. This version includes enhancements in the user interface of the MIDP version, the editor and in the processing of large amounts of data. An evaluation version is available for downloading from the product web page.

DataMovil is a market leader platform for the development of transactional applications in PDAs and advanced handsets. It is based on Xforms, the W3C Recommendation for the new generation of the web. DataMovil 3.0.1 is available for the following platforms: TabletPC, UMPC, PDA, and Smartphones like Nokia Serie 60 and Blackberry.

The new release offers significant advances in the editor. Now the drag and drop capabilities are improved, a new debugger allows to monitor the model item values as the application is executed. For the MIDP version, the look of many screens is greatly improved. Moreover, a new index capability for large collections of XML data has been added. Using this feature, the evaluation of XPath expressions that searches in a large array of XML data dramatically reduce its computation time. Also, the range control has been implemented and several attributes of the submission module have been added.
